The beloved TV programme DIY SOS, supported by skilled tradespeople from the Southampton community, has come to the aid of a local family who tragically lost £72,000 due to a botched home renovation. Ahmed and Rifat Ali, who are both deaf and parents to a young son with autism, paid for a ground-floor extension back in April. But when building materials failed to arrive and progress stalled, it became clear that something was seriously wrong.

When we saw the call from DIY SOS for electrical supplies, we didn’t hesitate to step in and support a family in need. We proudly donated a wide range of products, from electrical sockets and smoke detectors to cables, lighting accessories, and more.

Today, the Ali family was welcomed into their beautifully renovated home. Members of our team attended the emotional reveal and saw firsthand the profound impact this transformation had on the family.

We were thrilled to have played a part in such a meaningful project, and we wish the Ali family every happiness in their new home!
