09 Jun 2014 | Filed under: Press Release

BRUCE-ELKIN-CYCLE-CHALLENGER&M are pleased to support Bruce Elkin on his Triple Cycle Challenge raising funds for the Hampshire based Rose Road Association.

Bruce, who was instrumental in the 123 Decathlon celebrating the Olympics, will be taking on the challenge of 3 gruelling cycle rides over the next few months.

To break himself in gently Bruce will start off with the Cote a Cote Challenge – an endurance challenge of 750 miles taking a route from the English Channel to the Mediterranean – starting in Caen and finishing in Settle – a gruelling 7 days later.

Bruce will then take up the 2nd of his cycling challenges in August by taking part in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100.  Following the course used in the Olympic and Paralympic games, the cyclists will follow a 100 mile route through the capital and Surrey ending up at the Mall in London.  With over 80,000 people taking part this is bound to be a truly awe inspiring event!

Bruce’s third and final challenge (for this year anyway!) will be Septembers Bordeaux Challenge 2014 – a race from St Malo to Bordeaux over 3 days and taking in 530 miles of the beautiful French countryside.

The Rose Road Association was founded in 1952, and offers a wide range of services to children with disabilities, their parents and carers within the Hampshire Area.  Services offered include play schemes and short breaks, with their purpose built centre including such facilities as a hydrotherapy pool, interactive room, soft playroom and gardens.
