R&M‘s Assembly Division are pleased to announce their recent investment in the technologically advanced SMX 2500 3 Axis CNC/Manual Bed Mill, with delivery due to take place in  November 2010.

“The SMX 2500 uses up-to-the minute, innovative technology and will increase both the efficiency and accuracy of our  CNCing ability, allowing us to produce both volume and bespoke “one off” enclosures.  This can only be a win win situation for our customers as we will be able to shorten lead times and offer an overall improved service.”  Commented Neil Sherin – Assembly Division Manager.

The SMX2500 offers the latest ProtoTRAK® technology whose canned cycles include pockets of every shape conceivable, pockets with islands, thread milling, bolt hole patterns, drilling, tapping and boring, 3D surfacing with ‘on board’ DNC and the capability to handle virtually unlimited program size.

The SMX2500 will enable R&M to either program complex components in just minutes or to upload CAD drawings directly, making the whole process smooth, efficient and extremely accurate.

The SMX2500 is manufactured by XYZ Machine Tools, formed in 1984; they are the largest supplier of CNC machine tools in the UK and export across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
