Waste Management Policy

  • Retain and reuse: We prioritize extending the life of existing items by repairing, refurbishing, or selling/donating unwanted equipment (especially IT) whenever possible.
  • Reduce consumption: We actively work to reduce office waste generation by minimizing the use of stationery (paper, toner, etc.) and product packaging.

Preparation for Reuse:

  • WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) reuse: We arrange for the collection and refurbishment or resale of WEEE whenever feasible.
  • Reusing materials: We prioritize the reuse of items like pallets, wooden drums, and storage materials before disposal.

  • We maintain a comprehensive recycling program for various waste streams, including:
    • WEEE segregation and recycling
    • Fluorescent lamp and tube recycling
    • Mixed dry recyclable material segregation and recycling

Recovery through Other Methods:

  • We partner with reputable and licensed waste management companies who:
    • Prioritize extracting recyclable components from WEEE before energy recovery.
    • Utilize sustainable methods for energy recovery, minimizing landfill waste.

Only residual waste that cannot be reused, recycled, or recovered is disposed of responsibly. R&M Electrical Group Ltd is dedicated to fulfilling its duty of care by managing waste responsibly and promoting its safe recovery or disposal to minimize environmental impact.
