Group Sales Director
Bringing enthusiasm and a can-do attitude to my role, it’s my job to find solutions for our customers’ needs. I focus on making dealing with R&M easy and seamless, spending time understanding our client’s needs and tailoring our services to meet their requirements. Concentrating on our customers, rather than our own business model, has allowed us to develop strong relationships with clients all over the world. We are relied upon and trusted by some of the world’s largest companies to deliver excellent electrical products and services and to become an integrated part of our clients supply chain and project teams. Having joined R&M in 1996 I have enjoyed being part of the management team that has seen us grow into global entity that we are now.
Group Finance Director
The financial acumen and stewardship I bring to R&M enables the Group to do effective and efficient business negotiating risks safely whilst maintaining sound and detailed financial management at all levels. I joined in 2013 and my main role is to provide strategic and financial guidance whilst developing the necessary policies and disciplines to ensure financial control within the Group. With our global footprint and dynamic businesses this is always a challenge. Prior to steering the Group through an exciting phase of growth and financial security, I enjoyed a successful career in practice and as FD for a major UK distributor of Data Networking products for a 20 year term. I am a qualified Chartered Accountant with a wealth of experience which I can offer to benefit our financial relationships with our customers, suppliers and all other stakeholders.
UK Sales Director
A big part of my role at R&M is to increase our opportunities within new and existing markets and to improve our offering to customers both old and new. Understanding our customer base and being flexible to change is key to the success of this approach. I work closely with our management and sales teams to ensure we have an up to date understanding of our customers operations and challenges, in doing so we put ourselves in a position to offer the right products and solutions. As our workforce has grown we have increased our investment and commitment into training. Mine has been a hands on approach to ensuring our people have access to relevant external courses & qualifications, as well as frequently offering various internal training sessions that create increased levels of commercial and technical knowledge within our business.
Group Managing Director
My focus at R&M is to bring forward thinking and planning to the forefront of our focus so that we can continue to give our customers the best service in the industry. Since joining R&M in 1992 I know that understanding our customers is essential to what we do – our success lies in listening, understanding and then delivering upon their needs. My role relies on building strong relationships with our customers, our staff and our suppliers. R&M are a strong independent business and along with my fellow directors we will ensure that the group continues to enjoy structured growth whilst maintaining its strong financial footing.
Within R&M, my attention is on the customer. My role is to enable our customers to make good commercial choices and to give them the flexibility and freedom to access the right products at competitive prices. Since joining R&M in 1996 I’ve invested heavily in developing solutions for our customers that improve quality, save on price and make their lives easier. Through new e-commerce platforms and our online ordering portal, we’ve streamlined processes to speed up their access to products and we’ve spent time building a stable supply chain so that we can develop specific product lines for many of the businesses we work with. We procure responsibly and ethically and buy competitively so that our customers get fair prices without compromising on quality.
Since joining R&M IN 2002 I’ve focussed my time on supporting our customers with all aspects of technical and commercial advice on cable selection and the management of. Focussing on cable design, construction and testing, I work alongside colleagues to improve and re-design the services we offer, backed by robust engineering and procurement supply solutions. The development of our cable cutting and tagging service is testament to our commitment to continuous innovation within our industry for the benefit of our clients.
