R&M were privileged to be asked to sponsor the recent Rotary Club Pro-Am Golf Day, which took place on the 25th of May.
This years event was held to support The Rainbow Centre (one of R&M’s chosen charities to support throughout 2012 through the 1 2 3 Decathlon Challenge) and the Romsey Branch of Parkinson’s UK and raised in excess of £5,000!
The event was held at the prestigious Romsey Golf Club and was the 25th successful Pro-Am Golf Day to be held by the Southampton AM Connect Rotary Club.
The day was organised in conjunction with the Hampshire PGA who supplied ranked Hampshire PGA Professionals to play in each team.
The competition itself was limited to 44 teams of one professional golfer and three amateurs, with each team playing 18 holes of golf with the best two scores on each hole counting.
R&M not only sponsored this worth while event but also took the opportunity to take part, and submitted one team coming 5th on the actual day!
“It was a great day for all who took part, and for a worth while cause – the icing on the cake was to come 5th out of 44 teams, we are really pleased with the result!” Steve Cargill (R&M Fixings & Supports director)
The day raised over £5,000 for the chosen charities. To read official letter please click here
