ATEX 137

A European Directive governing the save use of electrical and mechanical equipment in hazardous areas(where there is a risk of explosion and flammable substances), ATEX 137 is a Worker Protection Directive and covers working in hazardous areas.

DSEAR

Site operators and employers have specific obligations to minimise risks and ensure the safety of plant and personnel under the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR).  Developed by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), this “framework” is designed to ensure compliance with ATEX 137 within the UK.
