Through this provision Hounds for Heroes aims are to provide help and practical support leading to an enhanced quality of life for their clients.

R&M Southampton has recently made a donation to “The First Annual Endal’s Walk”, a walk around the local area in tribute to Endal, the amazing assistance dog without whom Hounds For Heroes would never have been born.

“On behalf of Hounds for Heroes I would like to express our gratitude for your much appreciated support and backing at the recent Endal Walk held in aid of Hounds for Heroes and in doing so assisting us in our aims of placing assistance dogs with injured veterans and emergency service personnel. Your donation of the X Box really was the real crowd pleaser and the star competition of the day.”

“IT IS NOW A LEGAL REQUIREMENT TO MAKE PROVISION FOR TOOLS FALLING WHEN WORKING AT HEIGHT”

R&M’s Southampton Branch have teamed up with Beta tools to offer the solution to the legal obligation every organisation has to ensure a safe system of work for their employees whilst working with tools at height.

Beta Tools offers two solutions to the problem, incorporating innovative design with the quality they are renowned for:

A Wrist strap and direct swivel fixing that attaches to the tool

And

A Wrist strap and elasticized web lanyard

Both options allow the operator free use of the tools whilst safe guarding against the dangers of dropping them, both to personnel and to machinery.

The wrist straps have the added safety feature of “breaking away” from the operator is the tool is snatched into machinery or trapped in steelwork when climbing – helping prevent the employee from being injured.

Beta Tools can also make up individualised kits incorporating their safety conscious Bags, Belts and Pouches, and any combination of lanyards required – offering the additional service of laser engraving with logo’s, company names and serial numbers if required!

The dropping of tools and equipment from height can result in serious injury or even fatalities – as dropping even the smallest screw driver from a 4th floor building (14 meters) results in speeds of 61kph being reached on impact! Even the wearing of a hard hat will not offer protection – and the likely consequence is a fatality.

Beta tools offer the perfect solution to your tool tethering needs

Contact our Southampton Branch for more information and for a competitive quote today –
