Case Study: BVT Surface Fleet Ltd

We have a long term agreement with BAE in Portsmouth naval base which was signed in Feb 2008 which runs for 5yrs with a follow on of a further 2yrs. We operate a Kanban system for this contract which is highly successful and is topped up on a daily basis. We also have containers on the dockside here in the base that are used by the ship repair side of BAE which is consignment stock of which you can find items such like; Kopex, Raychem, heatshrink, glands, tape, cembre, cablofil and many other items.
