R&M are proud to support Philippa Jenkins from our Dubai division (R&M Wholesale Electric LLC) who is taking part in the gruelling Abu Dhabi Triathlon 2011 on the 12^th of March in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The annual Abu Dhabi Triathlon attracts both top athletes and amateur competitors from all over the world with all participants having to compete in the three stages of swimming, cycling and running that make up a triathlon.

The Abu Dhabi Triathlon offers the competitors three courses to choose from. These range from a “Sprint” involving a 750m swim, a 50km cycle ride followed by a 5km run (not my idea of a traditional sprint!) up to a “Long” course where the anti is upped to a 3km swim, followed by a 200km cycle ride, finishing in a 20km run.

The course itself starts off at the Emirates Palace, winds its way around Abu Dhabi taking in the highlights of this beautiful city, and finishes at the world renowned “Corniche”.

November saw R&M Wholesale Electric exhibiting at the largest Oil & Gas show outside of the US, ADIPEC. This year proved to be the biggest yet with exhibitors from all over the Globe making it an event not to be missed!

As part of the UK Pavilion we were well positioned amongst other members of the EIC (Energy Industries Council) at the heart of the exhibition. With over 40,000 visitors reported across the 4 day event, we were able to gain maximum exposure to our industry professionals and secure relationships in the market place. With our presence at the show we raised awareness of our product scope and also our expansion plans into the Capital later on in the year. With the ever increasing demand in Abu Dhabi, this show has enhanced our opportunities to meet this demand with our customers, and also raise our corporate profile across the industry.

During November R&M Wholesale Electric held their inaugural “Desert Classic” golf tournament at the Arabian Ranches Golf Club in Dubai. The day commenced with the players taking part in an “Individual Stableford” competition with teams of four golfers. This arrangement allowed the players to maximize their networking opportunities. With temperatures of around 30 degrees, it was hotting up into a pretty tough tournament. In order to keep the thirsty players hydrated, a dedicated team of R&M”ettes” kept the drinks flowing throughout the day.

R&M Wholesale Electric LLC recently exhibited at the Adipec Oil and Gas show in Abu Dhabi. The show was a great success giving R&M the opportunity to showcase our complete supply capabilities to customers across the Middle East. R&M offer a unique one stop service based facility to its clients, differentiating our company from its competition by providing the complete electrical package via it’s dedicated team of experienced electrical distribution specialists.
