R&M are proud to support Philippa Jenkins from our Dubai division (R&M Wholesale Electric LLC) who is taking part in the gruelling Abu Dhabi Triathlon 2011 on the 12th of March in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The annual Abu Dhabi Triathlon attracts both top athletes and amateur competitors from all over the world with all participants having to compete in the three stages of swimming, cycling and running that make up a triathlon.
The Abu Dhabi Triathlon offers the competitors three courses to choose from. These range from a “Sprint” involving a 750m swim, a 50km cycle ride followed by a 5km run (not my idea of a traditional sprint!) up to a “Long” course where the anti is upped to a 3km swim, followed by a 200km cycle ride, finishing in a 20km run.
The course itself starts off at the Emirates Palace, winds its way around Abu Dhabi taking in the highlights of this beautiful city, and finishes at the world renowned “Corniche”.
