Olympic Games – Disruption kept to a minimum!

With the onset of the Olympic Games in less than 6 weeks R&M aim to keep disruption to normal delivery services to the very minimum.

Unless you have been living in a time capsule you can’t help but realise that the Olympic Games are heading our way in less than 6 weeks’ time – from the 25^th July to the 12^th of August, and from the 29^th of August to the 9^th of September. 

R&M recognises that inevitably this will cause some disruption in the areas affected, however our logistical planning team’s aim is to ensure that this will be kept to the very minimum.

 R&M have been in communication with their customers over the past month to ensure that those in the vicinity of the most popular venues are able to forward plan deliveries to avoid having to deliver during the affected months as much as possible.  Where this is not possible R&M in close association with its customers are offering a flexible delivery service with regards to timings and venues in an attempt to cover all eventualities, and will keep its customers informed at all times of any potential problems that may arise.

 “The Olympic Games are a bit of an unknown quantity as to how much disruption we will experience with regards to deliveries, we understand that access will be possible to the affected areas during the games however we have a contingency plan we are able to fall back on involving out of hours and evening deliveries if the situation arises.  Our aim is to carry on “business as usual” during this period” Dave Caunt – R&M’s Logistics Manager.
