All aspects of this vast cable supply were managed including design solutions for cable applications, Cable gland and component ‘fit’ including gland installation training, inspection and of course logistics. The supply through its first three phases incorporated the supply of Medium Voltage power cables, Low voltage power and control cables, Instrumentation, Data and Fibre optic cable types for four drilling platforms, two compression platforms, the Onshore receiving terminal and various pumping stations for the pipeline for the oil that travelled 1743Kms from Baku (Azerbaijan) to Ceyhan (Turkey).

In 2008 the R&M’s Assembly Division was commissioned to build the main power distribution board for the Swan Shopping Centre. The assembly process was interrupted due to a miscalculation in the height of the room in which the boards were to be installed. R&M’s team of engineers successfully reduced the height of the boards and still maintained the original delivery date as requested by the customer.

These challenging circumstances allowed R&M to display the ability to assemble bespoke distribution solutions offering technical assistance and flexibility throughout the design process.
