ACG Offshore Platforms 2003

R&M Electrical Group, via it’s Azeri Company R&M Caspian Limited, was awarded the framework agreements to supply all of the electrical bulk materials and LV power, control and instrumentation cables for the seven drilling and primary production platforms that form the Offshore element of the ACG Project currently under installation within the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea. The operating company AIOC is a partnership with BP leading the consortium. Together with the Onshore Process Facility, Sangachal Terminal and the BTC pipeline, it represented, at its conception, the largest Oil & Gas project to be undertaken in the world. To date three phases have been implemented since 2003 when R&M became involved.
Products supplied within the R&M frameworks include hazardous area and industrial light fittings, hazardous area and industrial sockets and plugs, hazardous area and industrial control stations, LV power cable , control cables, instrumentation cables, hazardous area and industrial cable glands and cable support materials, R&M’s project management team successfully managed the frameworks from the UK with local support being provided by R&M Caspian (stocking branch) in Baku, Azerbaijan.
