ACG Offshore Platforms 2004

R&M Electrical Group, via it’s Azeri Company R&M Caspian Limited, was awarded the framework agreements to supply all of the offshore LV power, control and instrumentation cables for the seven drilling and primary production platforms that form the Offshore element of the ACG Project currently under installation within the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea. The operating company AIOC is a partnership with BP leading the consortium. Together with the Onshore Process Facility, Sangachal Terminal and the BTC pipeline, it represented, at its conception, the largest Oil & Gas project to be undertaken in the world. To date three phases have been implemented since 2003 when R&M became involved.
Products supplied within the R&M framework includes Offshore standard Medium voltage and Low voltage power cables, Intrinsically safe and non-intrinsically safe instrumentation cables, Control and signal cables and the full range of Specialist Mud resistant cables to be installed on the drilling modules.
Manufacturers used include Prysmian cables, Nexan cables, CCI, and Camunicavi.
