Supply Chain Management

Due to the diversity of the R&M Group's operations we have tailored our supply chain management systems to suit our client's many diverse requirements. Amongst our division we promote good service and communication thus providing supply chain visibility for our customers and giving them an insight into what we feel is a successful way of managing distribution. Planning is a huge part of our traditional approach to supply chain management, by gaining an understanding of our customers product needs we can put stock in place to cater to specific requirements. The Customer Relationship Management aspect of our IT system allows us to fulfil this task for each and every customer that has ever purchased from the R&M Group.

R&M are stockists for some of the world's leading manufacturers with each branch holding stock utilising a variety of different manufacturers. The range of supply chain management systems possessed by the company coupled with its diverse product range, means supply solutions for all electrical needs whatever the specific application can be offered. Investment in business systems has been key to our success in successfully managing the supply chain, by adapting our systems to match our client's needs we have been able to demonstrate savings across all aspects of SCM.

R&M's philosophy to successful SCM centres around our ability to partner with our clients. At the onset on a contract or project R&M look to take ownership and responsibility of many aspects of the supply chain whilst ensuring that our reporting procedures allow for total visibility, our clients are able to track the progress of their order including shipment through to ultimate delivery of both materials and the vital documentation that is required to allow installation of the goods at site.

One of our more complex SCM systems exists within our Projects Division. Essentially what we offer within Projects is a system that is versatile enough to suit our wide range of project customers whilst also ensuring the same quality standards, key deadlines and service levels are constantly monitored and where possible excelled upon. This is achieved through developing strong relationships over many years with our supplier base, reviewing our customer's requirements and our performance on a job by job basis and establishing dedicated cells within the project division covering tendering, procurement, sales order management, expediting, documentation, logistics, spares and commissioning and order close out.

In conjunction with our Project Joint Venture partner, Wholesale Electric of Houston, we also offer an internet-based Material and cable management systems. This system provides complete materials management and services designed to reduce the total installed cost of any project. Linking engineering, purchasing, construction programs, accounting, vendors and other critical functions to manage the procurement, warehousing, delivery and reporting of materials for construction projects worldwide.

R&M's membership began in 1998, our close relationship with the council means we can keep up to date with top projects around the world. Utilising the EIC Projects Database R&M have vital information on the energies markets.
	First Point Assessment Limited, FPAL FPAL enables buying and supplying communities to build better relationships through a more open, trusting and proactive approach. Sharing knowledge, standards and expectations leads to buyers and suppliers sharing success. Our FPAL membership is a sign of our willingness to openly and confidently display our customers views on services and materials provided.
	Achilles - UVDB - Utilities prequalification scheme Providing the major utility providers in the UK with pre-approved vendor lists ensuring compatibility and compliance without the need to screen vendors independently. R&M have demonstrated their ability to meet the exacting requirements of UVDB and have established themselves as a major supplier to the countries major utility providers. (View Certificate)
