Cable Distribution

The Cable Division of R&M Electrical Group and its concept was initially devised to support the existing branch network and the Group's customer base. Over time 'Cables' have evolved as a standalone business in its own right. With the emphasis on supply solutions of Power, Control, Instrumentation and associated components, including cable management products, for the Process Industry (Water, Oil, Gas, Petro-Chemical and Food).

Typically we supply the following range of cables:

• XLPE insulated, armoured cables with PVC sheaths to BS5467
• XLPE insulated, armoured cables with LSOH sheaths to BS6724
• PVC and LSOH, un-armoured single core conduit wires (6491X and 6491B)

Why we're different

A significant feature of the cable division is our ability to service both the UK and overseas projects. With the assistance of our dedicated export and project division we have many internationally recognised oil, gas and engineering clients. R&M hold a frame agreement to supply onshore and offshore cables to the ACG project in Azerbaijan, one of the largest oil and gas projects in the world.

As a result of our growth and success, R&M has established very close relationships with many of the world's largest cable manufacturers including Pirelli, Nexans, CCI, Draka, General Cables, AEI, Belden and other well-known international names.

We also have the capability to modify and populate explosion proof and industrial junction boxes, control stations and distribution panels at our in-house assembly division based in Southampton. A significant feature of this service is that R&M offer extremely short lead times.
